ReplyDeleteWe have a couple of Christmas traditions. We build and decorate a gingerbread structure (House...train....this year it's a tree can't wait!) On Christmas Eve we make Reindeer food, add glitter and sprinkle it in the garden.

My favourite Christmas Eve tradition is leaving work early. No, seriously, I love having a light Christmas Eve snack, hanging the stockings out with the children, and staying up late with last minute present wrapping with a glass of sherry.

Great prize, following on GFC with ID Phyllis/Gerry Ellett
ReplyDeleteBefore the children got to old, the Christmas Eve tradition was to let them put the milk, cookie and carrot out for Santa. Then when they went to bed, we used to sprinkle flour on the floor from the fireplace to the side table that had the snacks on. Then would put large boots on and make footprints from and to the fireplace to make out Santa had visited and left prints in the 'snow' he brought with him. They did fall for it for a few years.

ReplyDeleteI still put out drink and a snack for Santa, and a carrot for Rudolph, although the last few years they've still been there in the morning - perhaps they've changed their route and are full up by the time they get to us?
